Details:
In Tucson the clouds parted just in time after rain earlier. The dynamic range of Venus / Uranus is huge so this image is a merged photo. This comprises a single image of Venus (iso 640) to capture a disk without spikes and was merged with a stack of 40 1/5 second images stacked (iso 5000). The eye sees far more dynamic range so this conjunction was easy to see but takes a bit more effort to photograph. The camera set up was a Nikon D850 and a Nikon 500 mm pf lens with a 1.4X teleconverter at F9 mounted on an ioptron tracking mount.
