Yes...I did plan this. But I also wanted to capture Venus and Uranus near my favorite windmill. I absolutely knew when and where the Starlink satellites would appear. So, I went to a fairly dark site away from the city and waited. At 7:29 p.m. the first satellite emerged from the southwest, then the second, and then the third and so on. For 20 minutes, it was like a continuous string of pearls rising out of twilight and trailing across the sky. There were 47 Starlink satellites this evening trailing from SW to NE. But there were dozens more strung out in other parts of the sky. I would estimate that I saw 100 satellites, mostly Starlink satellites. The brightness of these satellites rivaled the belt stars of Orion...some much brighter and even flaring. It was absolutely crazy and appalling at the same time. I captured a total of 88 images with 15-second exposures totaling 22 minutes. Canon 60Da, Sigma lens @28mm, ISO 800, f/4.5
