Details:
There is a lot of hype concerning the dimming of Betelgeuse. Scanning my old Orion picture vs the recent one, I tried to adjust the other stars in the frame to similar luminosity. Of course the response of film vs. a modern sensor is quite different. The dimming of Betelgeuse is still rather obvious. 1986: Pentax K1000, Film Kodak CM400, 50mm f1.7; 2020: Canon EOS 650D, 24mm f2.8
