Details:
I've been seeing reports of comet Borisov having brightened to mag. 14.3 recently. So, I thought I'd give it a try. On the morning of Dec. 31 at 05:25 am CST, I recorded this image using a Canon T4i coupled with a 12.5" Newt. setting its' iso to the max of 12,800 and a single 60 sec. exp. As you can see, it is very close to the same brightness of the close star, UCAC4 272-060472 at 16.48 mag. It appears to be dimming as it moves away from the Sun.
