Details:
After a beautiful display of Polar Stratospheric Clouds during the "day", or rather the Polar Night, later on we could witness a very fine display of Auroras.
The night started quite strangely, with the weather forecast giving 100% cloudiness everywhere, but it turned out to be quite clear although some haze was visible at some times, as can be seen on some of the pictures where the stars look "bigger".
First, I enjoyed so much the beautiful Milky Way with no light pollution whatsoever if not for a very faint display of Auroras.
Hours later, and despite the Bz having been positive and still hovering around zero, a surprisingly bright display of Auroras took place!
I couldn't have dreamt of a better welcome back party to Finnish Lapland, and I can't wait for what's coming in the next two days, with the expected stream of solar wind. Stay tuned!
