On Saturday evening (11.16.19) looking N/NE from Banner Elk a Leonid Meteor pierced a pre-moonlight Milky Way just below the Andromeda Galaxy while sailing over; Elk Knob, Rich Mountain, Snake Mountain and Mt. Rogers (the highest mountain in Virginia) as the most distant peak in view (right of center). Nikon D800e 14mm at f3.2 30 seconds ISO 1600
