The transit of Mercury photographed in November 11, 2019 from Southern Italy by Nunzio Micale and Rocco Scarnecchia. The transit of Mercury occurs when the first planet of the Solar System is interposed between the Earth and the Sun, appearing as a black disk, being in shadow, on the solar disk. In a century there are 13-14 events and can take place in May or in November. The next transit will take place in 2032. This shot shows the sequence recorded by Italy, a partial transit since Mercury set together with the Sun while it was still on the solar disk. Instrumentation used: Coronado Solarmax III 70 SS, chamber QHY5III + Celestron 2x; Celestron 8 ", Advanced Vx NexStar +, QHY5LII-color + TecnoSky Barlow 3x, Canon eos 70D.
