Details:
This morning while looking at images provided by the University of San Diego's High Performance Wireless Research and Education (HPWREN) network of cameras situated on peaks around San Diego County, I noticed this brilliant view captured by the east-looking camera atop Mt. Woodson, north-east of Poway, CA. The image was taken about 19 minutes before sunrise. On the left is what looks to be a very well-defined cloud shadow. Across at the top of the glowing orb is a thin crimson band. This is a phenomena I've never seen before.
