Details:
Despite being only 6.5° from the Sun, I could not resist the temptation to record my favorite planet. For obvious reasons I had to wait for the Sun (and, of course, Venus) to get very low above the western horizon (Luckily I had a high building obscuring the Sun shortly before it set). The image was processed from a 15,000-frame video imaged through a 6-inch Maksutov-Cassegrain at f/24 and a ZWO ASI 178MM camera with an IR >850nm filter. The end result was out of focus, but considering the conditions I was expecting a much worse result...
