Details:
A vivid and active display here in South-Central Finland! As soon as it got dark on the night of the 31st, fast moving pulsations became visible above the main band of activity. These pulsations were intermittent but returned every few hours, peaking at the most intense phase of the aurora storm which was at 3:00 AM local time, when every five seconds or so ripples of aurora pulsated upwards, above the main area of activity seen on photos. It was amazing to see such an active display relatively far south in Finland.
