Details:
The aurora band started forming at 2330 hrs, STEVE made a brief appearance at 0110 hrs along with a Aurora Blob, the Perseids and Delta Aquarids were quite active and were blazing away, the aurora started to get crazy around 0145hrs and the first corona developed at 0210 hrs. What was unbelievable was the reaction from all of the photographers out shooting the aurora, the gasps, whoops and hollers were indicative of the end of the aurora drought for southern Alberta, a happier group could not be found on the planet! All of these shots were from Peyto Lake, which means Wolf Lake.
