Details:
I missed the main show due to clouds and rain but when I went out around 04:00 am and looked at the sky, I saw stars and aurora dancing. Right away I was jumping inside my car and drove away from the rig light pollution, with hope to get at least some shots from the tail of the storm. Just in time to catch the Canadian rig operation in Canadian tundra over a magnificent colorful display of the northern lights with the dawn in the background…..(Nikon D800, Nikkor 14-24mm 2.8, ISO 3200; 1.6 seconds exposure; 14mm, Kakwa, Alberta, Canada, Aug 05, 2019).
