Details:
On July 2, a spectacular total solar eclipse could be observed on the so-called star route, in Chile, where astronomical tourism has been boosted for years. The SAROS Scientific Expeditions Association is an amateur group of eclipse hunters from the island of Gran Canaria, the Canary Islands and in Chile they registered their total number 13. The observation site was the Puclaro reservoir, near Vicuña in Chile where they could register little more than 2 minutes 20 seconds of totality. In the image you can see the end of the totality or third contact, the moment in which the Moon stops completely ocular to our stars and the first solar rays manage to cross the lunar limbo. In the image you can see in the foreground Frank A. Rodriguez of AstroEduca, an experienced hunter with 13 totals observed with his observational equipment. Sony A7 SII camera. ISO 6400. 50mm f / 2 1/160 "
