Details:
During the night of July 2nd 2019 I was working night shift and around 1:34 am, I went outside and noticed right away that something “unusual” is going on up in the sky. With all the artificial lights around was hard to make up something and I went away from the rig lights close to the tree lines where I was able at least to see the lights and the sky. What I saw, was a beautiful display of the NLC’s stretching from W to the NW as blue and white ripples and intercalated with some dark clouds for a nice effect. Pumped up by the display, I went right away and told the others what was going on. Everybody went out and watch the beautiful display over our little site. They never saw such thing before nor they heard before about NLC’s existence at all but how somebody put it in his own words…. “Canadian rig is under attack by the NLC’s”….in the end under attack or not, Mother Nature for sure granted us that night with one of her magnificent wonders (Nikon D800, Nikkor 14-24mm 2.8, ISO 640 & 800; ½, 1/3 & 1.3 seconds exposure; 24mm, Kakwa, Alberta, Canada, July 2nd, 2019).
