The Moon in Motion - Eclipse from Idaho and the Tetons https://vimeo.com/337273052 Spanish version for local audience in Chile/Argentina: https://vimeo.com/344217791 This recently released stunning video (and a Vimeo Staff Pick) gives a good idea of what to expect during the total solar eclipse next Tuesday. Australian astrophotographer Phil Hart has spent the 21 months since his eclipse expedition in Idaho and the Tetons learning and applying specialised eclipse image processing and video editing techniques. He has just released the video 'The Moon in Motion', the most detailed video of a solar eclipse ever produced and now a Vimeo 'Staff Pick'. The video includes unique footage of the approaching shadow of the Moon, the total eclipse as seen over the summit of Grand Teton and high resolution animated views of the motion of the Moon against the solar corona all of which are only visible during these rare moments of total eclipse. Background to the video including details of 12 automated cameras and 400 pounds of telescopes and equipment at four different locations in Idaho and high in the Teton Range that Phil had running on the day of the eclipse: http://philhart.com/the-moon-in-motion
