Details:
The photos show Mercury and Mars only 14' apart over Rio de Janeiro at dusk. Forming a beautiful close pair through binoculars, Mercury was an easy naked-eye target while Mars (4.4 times dimmer) required the use of averted vision to be briefly spotted.
I used a Nikon CoolPix P900 camera for the shots, taken from 18:04 until 18:29 (UTC-3h).
