Details:
The sun was strangely and greatly magnified by the atmosphere, well above the horizon. Though bright I could nevertheless see unusual shaped-glow like a triangle, or maybe a distorted light pillar with components above and below the sun, thus not something in the camera. Is this a phenomenon, or just a quirk? Canon EOS6D 105mm 1/250 f.7.1 ISO100

Looks like a combination of a short sun pillar above the sun with a partial diffraction corona in the cloud stripes below the sun.
