Details:
The projected path of the Starlink swarm of satellites would bring them directly overhead during the early evening -- so it was out to my favorite night viewing spot. Normally, when photographing satellites long exposures work well. But that would blur the distinction between the individual satellites in this swarm. Shorter exposures would require much higher ISO settings. A tradeoff, of course. The first image is a 4-second exposure (ISO 6400, f/2.8, 28mm) of the satellites heading upwards towards the zenith. The second image was taken as the cluster was overhead (4-sec exposure) and is a crop showing details of some of the individual satellites. The third image was shot with a 1-second exposure (and boosted 4 EV in postprocessing!) showing individual tracks.
