Last night,May 19-20 2019 I had the first radio reflection signals from Polar Mesospheric Clouds this season on my instruments. VHF signals from Eastern Europe in a recognizable structure and very strong,sometimes related with visible NLC,s or Noctilucent Clouds.Still waiting for the first pictures from NLC.s on the Spaceweather gallery.

How do you distinguish between PSME and sporadic E (Es)?

Vertical is only the ADC voltage input after amplifying the signal,the AGC output of the receiver.

Youre right,sometimes Im not sure and then I dont post the data.
Sporadic E is almost not around or after midnight and when it is magnetically quiet it is not polar Es.
There is also a different in signals on my instruments.
In addition,Iam always happy with NLC pictures from the same moment.
