Hello Ed,
I would like to talk to you. How can I get your contact info? Do you have a Facebook account? I would like to talk to you about how you are doing your Jupiter time-laps and processing. Ex: How long for each avi. and how long do you wait for the next start of the next avi.? Also all the softwares you use to process each avi. file? Also how do you get each of Jupiters Moons so round and sharp? I really I your images. Kind Regards Philip Smith

Im not in Facebook.

For Jupiter each video is 90 seconds in length and I usually wait for a duration of 2 to 3 minutes in between the end and start of each movie.

I use FireCapture for acquiring the videos with the ASI cameras. AutoStakkert!2 is used to align and stack the video frames. Registax6 is used for wavelet processing. Lastly, Photoshop CS for preparing/creating each frame of the animation.

Maybe someone else out there has a better method: For the moons, before stacking in AS!2, I first place the alignment boxes on the planet and also place an alignment box around each moon. In Registax and/or PS CS I adjust the histo/levels of the images until the subjects and their limbs are to my satisfaction.
