I was hunting aurora again in Iceland from april 2-10, saw them almost every night ( moving daily based on weather situation ) . This 1st image taken tuesday april 9th at 1:13 AM in northern Iceland at Brunastadir guesthouse, camera Canon EOS 6D, lens Samyang 12mm f/2.8 , this is a crop/reframe from larger image. 8 seconds exposure at ISO 6400, f/2.8 . Edited in Canon DPP and Irfanview. 2nd image at 1:50 AM, shooting straight up , with 8mm fisheye lens fullsky obviously... 6 seconds, ISO 6400, f/3.5 on EOS 6D. it was a great night, april 8-9 , with lots of aurora even at nightfall already... hey here's a video fail, touched lens after focusing so shot video of nice aurora over the house but out of focus, darn... hahahaha, ya well, no worries... this is what it looks like when you get tears of emotion in your eyes, I guess hahaha... shot with Sony a7s and Sigma 16mm f/1.4 . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83wM0Bv7IkA next scheduled aurora hunt for me late august to mid-september and late october ( with Orionids )
