Details:
On 4th April the very thin waning (1% of full) Crescent Moon rose in almost clear dawn sky above Cecil Kop Nature Reserve. It first appeared from behind some wisps of pre-sunrise tinted cloud and a group of three Musasa Trees just after first light at 5.21 am. For the next ten minutes the thin crescent could be seen rising with Mercury and Venus far above until they were progressively overwhelmed by brightening sunrise glow. Camera: Hand-held Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 in night scenery mode.
