Details:
I don't know what hit us tonight, the CME, the faster solar wind from the coronal hole, but does it really matter? With KP=4, we were granted with a magnificent show here in Utsjoki, Finnish Lapland!
The Aurora appeared in the sky as soon as twilight ended (actually a bit before). At first, it was shy, but as soon as the Bz dipped in the low negative values, the sky lit up in the most spectacular way!
The Auroras were super fast, bright, and the dance of the needles was at its best.
Following this intense moment, everything went quiet for nearly 2 hours, until it started all again, this time with a bright, large, purple fringe.
What a night again in the very north of Finnish Lapland!
