Details:
What a night in Finnish Lapland!
Despite high solar wind numbers, the night surprisingly started quite slow in terms of aurora activity.
However, around 9:30 PM (local time), the activity became quite intense, and lasted with almost no interruption until about 11 PM. At some point, the aurora was fast and bright above the southern horizon! And it graced us with several purple nitrogen fringes, the dream of any aurora chaser, right?
Then it stayed quiet until a new outburst around 0:30 AM.
Another successful night again up here in the north of Finnish Lapland!
