Details:
We enjoyed an excellent display of aurora on Friday, March 1 as the wind from the current coronal hole picked up the Northern Lights activity. I'm in Norway on a Hurtigruten ferry ship the ms Trollfjord now on the way south along the Norwegian coast. On March 1 we were treated to an outburst of Lights that were bright enough to be spectacular even while we were in port at the northern town of Båtsfjord. We enjoyed a great overhead coronal swirl and fringes of nitrogen pinks at times. The ship is filled with aurora tourists from around the world who were all well pleased with the show, checking another item of their bucket list of things to see in the world!
