Details:
The thin waning Moon at 28 days old, ETX90 at prime focus using 1/10th sec exp, 800 ISO with Canon xsi. This is the thinnest I ever got for last part of Moon. There were clouds as you can see in photo and twilight! data says Moon was 0.018% illuminated. It was a challenge!

The EXIF data indicates the picture was taken at 7:20 (am AST I suppose) on 03-Feb-2019, and since new moon would be on 04-Feb-2019 at 17:04 AST, the pictured lunar crescent would have been 33 hours 44 minutes before new. However, at 7:20 am AST (11:20 UT) on 03-Feb-2019, the phase was 0.018 per the U.S. Naval Observatory’s online calculator, so it was 1.8% illuminated (not 0.018% as stated).
