Details:
After a cold night a rare shower for eastern England of charming Diamond Dust filled the air with tiny glittering spots of light as each caught the sunlight. The show lasted for about twenty minutes. They are very difficult to photograph and the image needs to be enlarged to spot the myriad dots of light. I understand these have similar properties to halos. Over the last few days we have had some fascinating skies. Canon EOS6D 28mm f11 1/400 100ISO

This is a quite rarely seen thing in our latitudes. The nice thing is that you can distinguish the shape of the 22 degrees upper tangent arc in the glittering dots. See the wide V-shape just above the centre of the image. Obviously the most glittering particles were of the column type.

Thanks for the comment pphv. I will look at the other images and see if the arc details you mention show in any of the others.
