As AR 2733 rotated off the western limb this afternoon, it showed a lot of activity with my Lunt 60 and iPhone 5c. Thought about shooting a video to record the fast changes, but wind was too turbulent for good seeing, so this the best I could do. Still fascinating to watch the spicules rise straight up, then arc back down. Guess that is what we have the space observatories to record! First shot is full disk, with the AR 2733 at lower right on limb. Next shot is a 3x closeup of the spot on edge. Third shows a flare erupting. Last a spicule shooting straight up, but my shot of it curling back was too blurry.
