Today when I woke up, just after sunrise, as usual, I pointed my telescope towards the sun to see what was going on. When I saw that there was a lovely active region, I remembered I had seen a prediction of a Space Station Solar transit within 220km of my home. So I piled my equipment into my car, and drove to a place called Otematata, near the middle of New Zealand's South Island. I set up my scope, and, at the appropriate time, started a fast sequence on my camera. This is the result! 13 images of the space station as it crossed the sun in less than a second, fairly close to the active region! I packed up my equipment and drove 220km back to my home. So, 5 hours driving for an event lasting less than one second!
