Comet 164P/Christensen was 182 million miles from Earth and magnitude 17.6 in these images with a short tail below the coma. 164P was at perihelion in its 7.00 year orbit last May 31 when it was 156 million miles from the Sun. 164P makes its close approach to Earth February 1 when it will be 172 million miles from Earth. 164P may reach magnitude 17.
