Sometimes there is much more... When I published yesterday a nice image of lunar eclipse, I was, actually, trying to avoid from many dusty and hotpixels dots on the shot so the image was truly nice and clear. One dot was very weird: Didn't look like a hotpixel or other undesirable dot, could have been a star. But it was in front of the Moon. When I woke up today, I have just found another images with same dot and also videos showing it was a short flash at 4:41:43 UTC. And now the point to hold - the white dot was meteorite impact on the Moon! So I prepared it with inset from original full-res image, where you can even notice some structure. Comparing with dot shape of stars, it could have been truly caused by ejected material during the impact, I think. What a lucky shot! Canon 6D, MTO 1100/f10.5, ISO 500, 15s (Vixen GP-2 mount)
