Haven’t seen the Sun for some time here in the UK, but some holes in the clouds today (1st Jan) revealed a new spot, some filaments and quite a large faint prominence. Lunt LS35THa + Bresser Mikrokular X2 barlow for details focal reducer for disc Taken from indoors window-sill Each image a stack of a 200 frame avi, processed with Registax 6 and GIMP 2.1

Hi James, weve also had a lot of cloudy weather here in Australia, but it was great to see a sunspot on the Sun today. If the clouds dont roll in tomorrow Ill try and get some images with my solar scope too. I like the way you display your images they are very informative...Happy New Year from the land down under :-)
