It is so good to be back in the Arctic! After catching only a glimpse of the coronal hole aurora storm from my flight to Lapland the night before, I managed to capture some wonderful Auroras from the ground tonight!
The weather was challenging, with lots of clouds and wind, and only very weak and faint auroras in the gaps. Around midnight, I decided to bring my guests back to their accommodation, and on our way, the clouds opened and the sky was filled with the northern lights! We even got lucky enough for a beautiful corona.
Never give up, stay outside as long as you can, this is the most important advice for any aurora chasers out there!
