Details:
Travelled to Iceland - again - for just a few days to see the Geminids with northern lights. Despite typical intense stormy weather I managed to find clear skies. These images are videostills from nightlapse video ( timelapse video in fps override ) shot with a Canon EOS 80D and Rokinon 16mm f/2 lens, on friday morning early december 14 from near lake Myvatn in northern Iceland. Aurora activity was very weak at that time unfortunately only Kp1 . The first 3 images are looking NW. The yellow lights illuminating clouds is from the distant city of Akureyri in center and from Husavik at far right. M31 and the Pleiades are nicely seen. The last image is looking NE towards Vega.
