Details:
Here you are my memory of comet 46P / Wirtanen, which was at the minimum distance from the Earth - about 10.2 million kilometers- on December 16th. It was in conjunction with the open cluster of the Pleiades, in the constellation of Taurus. It appeared as a suffused object, a small cloud wide half of the Moon (obviously in visible light) in the binoculars, among cirrus and lunar glow. To the naked eye it revealed looking from the corner of the eye. This shot was taken in Area 21, one of the darkest places in Apulia, South Italy, using the celestron mount Advance Vx NexStar, Canon eos 70D, lens sigma 70-300 mm, 6 poses 3', ISO 1600, focal 133 mm, f / 4.5.
