With all the excitement lately over the big snow dump here Down South, 20” in these parts, the scenery has been beautiful. Equally awesome the clear skies after the storm for nighttime viewing too. Photographing tonight was made tricky with 15 to 25mph wind gusts, but catching a falling star and comet luckily happened during one of the exposures anyway. Imaged with a Nikon D800e using a 180mm lens at f3.5 for 15 seconds at ISO 1250.

What a shot! Thats APOD material there.. That lens/cam combo is killer as well. Maybe the deep snow helped steady your tripod;)
