Details:
When I stepped out of my car I counted 5 Geminid Meteors in a single second right over Pleiades. I set up my cameras but couldn't really see Comet 46P/Wirtanen... just a very dim smudge in the sky where it ought to be. But the moment I took a picture with any of my cameras the Green Glow was unmistakable. I used three Canon cameras and lenses.. (EOS M + EF-M 22mm f/2 STM lens) ... (EOS M6 + EF-M 32mm f/1.4 STM lens) ... (EOS 6D + EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM lens). These images are single exposure with a short exposure ranging from 8 seconds to 25, depending of the focal length of the lens used. I also took the opportunity to take a shot of Wirtanen out of focus to see if the bokeh could reveal the Green glow of the Coma. It worked! ISO used ranged between ISO 2000 and ISO 3200. I simply set the cameras on a tripod, manually focused on a star and then used the built-in self timer to capture these images. One is a vertical 3-shot panorama to show were Comet 46P/Wirtanen was situated in the sky. Hoping the bad weather predicted will pass or change to allow me to photograph Wirtanen with stronger lenses as it grows brighter through the week.
