Unfortunately the dark bands are telephone lines. I forgot the winter sun is so low and I actually took another set of photos but those were no good. And at -10C, that was enough for the day!
Solarmax 60II f/6.6, Canon XTi ISO 800, surface 1/250 sec. prominences 1/100 sec. East and West are reversed.
The surface and prominence shots are 5 layer stacks. Treated with Lynkeos' Lucy-Richardson algorithm and Photoshop for stacking, montage and colour.
