Comet Wirtanen on Dec 2, 2018, 03:49 UT. 40x120 sec @ ISO 3200, IDAS-LPS, Canon T3, Televue TV-85 at F/5.6.
It is as big as the Moon already and it still has a couple of weeks before closest approach. I could barely see it with averted vision naked eye and only when it was in the darkest section of the sky. I hope that does not mean it will just spread that dimness across a larger area the closer it gets to us, but I am thinking it might.
