Details:
With not a gap to be seen in a 40 klm radius of Tromsø, we decided to wait on the island of Kvaløya, until the first gap appeared that was coming in from the south west coast.
It can be very boring waiting but can be very rewarding too as it was on this night of the 1st of Dec 2018.
At 8.27 the sky cleared and the aurora burst out all over the skies, with fantastic displayed everywhere until it started to slow down for the night around 1119pm.
I must say with such bad weathering and around the tromso area, and past solar winds that have missing earth, this solar wind looks as though it gave a glancing blow and made the solar minimum a very exciting night, its been one of the best nights for the last few weeks.
Due to the many reasons stated above.
Can’t wait for the arrival of the cme in the nest few coming days.
