Details:
Beautiful sunset off Playa del Rey (between the end of the LAX runways and the Pacific Ocean). Then we noticed the smoke layer from the fires in and around Malibu. And the Sun sunk in. (No green flash btw).
FYI:
1) there are a couple more photos on a follow up link in the tweet.
2) these were uploaded from an iPhone and although years ago I had informed the people at spaceweather about the problem with rotating photo uploads, they won’t fix it.
