Details:
Fantastic night tonight. My group was very excited with the incoming space weather. When we arrived at the site we had a nice gentle aurora which allowed me to photograph the Milky Way at the same time.
I kept looking at the solar wind data to see if it was picking up from the satellite and it wasn't. That did not stop the actual aurora though which really developed just after 10pm.
I'm guessing this must have been the CIR rather than the enhanced solar wind from the coronal hole as the KP stayed 0 during this period? Any thoughts welcome.
