After quiet skies all night long these spooky auroras snuck up from behind me while I was driving south from Fairbanks, Alaska and made me jump out of my boots! AURORA JACK-O’-LANTERN (Photo #1) ~ An aurora lights up Halloween morning with a ghoulishly green Jack-o’-lantern face on October 31, 2018 at 5 am. HOWL-O’WEEN (Photo #2) ~ The jaws & tentacles of moonlit clouds move north, threatening to devour the clear skies, when suddenly an aurora leaps on stage and dances just out of reach! October 31, 2018 at 4 am. Trick or treat? Seeing the clouds, moon & aurora all in the same scene was definitely a treat.
