Details:
Driving home this evening in north central Texas I noticed something I’d never seen before. A Red yellow and green rainbow ring surrounding the sun just as it was setting on the horizon. I shot these photos with my phone out my car window as I drove but they really don’t do it justice. The colors were much more vivid looking at it than the camera was able to capture but you can kind of see them. I’m assuming they were created by dust, pollen or maybe ice high up in the atmosphere but I’m counting on dust or pollen as the most likely cause. Anyone have any ideas?
