Details:
I pick up Venus visually by offsetting from the Sun using the compass and tilt meter on my iPhone 8 Plus. The glare from the sunlight prevented me from seeing Venus in my 80mm Finder but, by carefully sweeping I was able to find her in the telescope with little difficult. I make sure the eyepiece in pre-focused because a blurred image will just melt into the bright daytime sky! Once found, I switch to a 16mm eyepiece for camera work. These images were recorded using a hand-held iPhone with a 10-inch f/5reflector stopped down to 60mm. The images are only cropped and slightly adjusted for exposure. The images were recorded on 25 October 2018 at 18:40 UTC. Seeing was poor and Venus was only 21° above the horizon.
