Details:
leading a small private aurora hunting tour in Iceland. Arrived 26 sept. Target far east given the weather situation, long drive from Keflavik to Djupivogur ( southeast ). Found perfect clear skies, no clouds, excellent visibility, Milky Way despite moonlight... aurora started very weak , low Kp etc... but patience paid off, shortly before midnight this happened. Shot with Canon EOS 6D and Samyang 12mm f/2.8 lens ( slight crop / reframe ).
