Details:
The moment of Spring Equinox, when day and night are of approximate equal length, took place at 01.54 UT (3.54 am LT) on 23 September 2018. The first three pictures of the Spring Equinox Sun setting to the west of Mutare were taken at about 17.30 LT. The mosaic from my 2016 photo archive, compares the positions of the Sunset points during our spring 2016 Equinox with those at our Summer 2015 (left) and Winter 2016 (right) Solstices. The position of the setting Sun at the equinox is not exactly equidistant from the solstices because Mutare is situated 19 degrees south of the equator. Camera: Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 in sunset scene mode.
