Oh, what a glorious spectacle; Charles Messier would have been astounded to see the bright ISS glide by some of the more celebrated showpieces he described in his landmark 1781 Messier Catalogue.
Here we have the ISS passing through the Milky Way resplendent with Messier Objects, with a crescent Moon, the planets Saturn, Jupiter and Venus in attendance, along with the bright star Antares (Scorpius) and the strobe lights of a passing aeroplane. Not too mention a few faint clouds.
I have also included a raw, unprocessed frame to show the extent of the light pollution and twilight I was shooting through.
ISO1600, F4, 15 secs, Canon 5D Mk IV at 24mm.
Cheers
Dennis
