Details:
For the past two weeks there have been hazy sunsets due to smoke from fires started by pyromaniacs who every dry season indiscriminately torch the countryside destroying the environment, degrading air quality and reducing large swathes of countryside to a charred mess. This evening the light from the sun was so attenuated by smoke haze that it was possible to film it setting behind some hills without use of a solar filter. While half down the transit of a passing swallow was recorded on six frames as shown in the accompanying animation and mosaic. The last picture was taken just before the hazy sun disappeared. Camera: Tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 in sunset scene mode with x60 zoom magnification.
