This image captured the planet Mars in the SW sky at 2:50 am CDT, Friday, July 27, 2018 from Marion, Iowa USA. This was the official time for Mars' opposition. Also included in the image is the full moon and planet Saturn (lower right). 1/15 second exposure at f/2.8, ISO 5000 and 16mm focal length. Nikon D7200 DSLR camera.
